The Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS) organized a half-day seminar entitled "Supervision of Research Students: From Final Year Projects to PhD" on 19 September 2018. The aim of the seminar is to promote effective research supervision and create awareness on research ethics among academic staff and postgraduate students. The seminar was conducted by Prof K. Sudesh Kumar from Universiti Sains Malaysia and it was attended by over 50 academic staff and postgraduate students. The topics that were covered during the seminar includes “Introduction to scientific research”, “Research aims vs student’s training”, “Grant requirements” and “Dealing with academic plagiarism”.
