  • PREVENTION OF CANCER IN MALAYSIAN POPULATION
The World Health Organization (WHO) in its Globocan Report 2020 estimated that the global burden of cancer was 19.3 million new cases (incidence), 9.9 million cancer deaths (mortality) and 50 million people living with cancer within five years of diagnosis (prevalence) . Malignant neoplasm persisted as one of the five principal causes of national mortality for the past 20 years in Malaysia. According to the Malaysian Study on Cancer Survival (MySCan), the relative survival was highest at stage I compared to stage IV. Certain types of cancer such as breast, colorectal and cervical are possible to be detected early through screening and early diagnosis. Cancer survivors faced financial and emotional burden that affect their quality-of-life following diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
There is lack of awareness of risk factors and early signs and symptoms among Malaysians.

    BIO MATERIALS IN BONE REGENERATION
Platelet concentrates (PCs) have been used for over 20 years in dentistry, as an adjunct to oral surgical procedures, to improve hard and soft tissue healing and control postoperative symptoms ConcentratedGrowth Factor (CGF) is a more recently developed autologous platelet concentrate containing growth factors together with blood cells , which was reported to promote bone regeneration.Like other platelet concentrates, CGF is isolated from whole blood samples through a simple and standardized protocol by means of a specific centrifuge, without the addition of exogenous substances. The main characteristic of CGF is its mechanical consistency: it is an organic matrix rich in fibrin and, therefore, is denser than other platelet concentrates like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF), and similar to L-PRF
The concentrated growth factor as a regenerative tool for accelerated wound healing was developed by Sacco in 2006, taking advantage of presence of adult stem cells and growth factors, when whole blood is processed in a specific cycle.
