Programme Description
We provide a diverse PhD program focusing on various research areas in the specialisations of human and medical physiology, with core concentrations in musculoskeletal physiology, neurophysiology, endocrinology, pulmonary physiology, cardiovascular physiology, Immunology, Pathophysiology, exercise physiology and other related fields. Our state-of-the-art laboratories, equipped with specialized resources, offer a conducive environment for students to conduct independent research. Our dedicated and experienced academic staff provide guidance and support to students throughout their research endeavors. This program is designed for individuals aspiring to enhance their knowledge and expertise in this pertinent field of study.
A Doctoral Degree is to provide further enhancement of knowledge, skills and abilities obtained at the master’s level. It generally provides the graduate with the abilities to conduct independent research.
Aim of the Programme
The main objective of this program is to provide research training that nurtures the development of independent research skills in students. Additionally, students gain a comprehensive understanding of Medical Physiology and its interconnected facets. The program encompasses lectures, research activities, and thesis work, enabling students to cultivate a well-rounded perspective. This educational experience equips students to strategically plan their careers within the medical field.

Programme Outline
COURSE CONTENT OF THE PROGRAMME:
- Research Methodology
- Research work in the selected area ( Cell and stem cell Physiology, Cardiovascular Physiology, Musculoskeletal Physiology, Pulmonary Physiology, Endocrinology, Excertory Physiology, Pathophysiology, Reproductive Physiology and relavent areas.)
Eligiblity :
- Master’s Degree in Physiology, Degree with medical, biological Sciences or equivalent related areas recognized by the Malaysian government.
- A Bachelor’s degree with the following conditions accepted for direct enrolment into PhD Biotechnology program: A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with first-class (CGPA of 3.67 or higher) or its equivalent”

Masters by coursework: Min CGPA of 2.5*Int Student- TOEFL Min Score 550 or IELTS Min Score 6.0 If No Language Criteria then need to pass Language Placement Examination at University Level. |
