The Master in Science in Medical Biochemistry programme in AIMST University provides a solid foundation in Medical Biochemistry as a basis for teaching and research.

Programme Structure

The programme is fully research-based. Its components are not subject-based but are divided according to the research areas/expertise: Medical Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Traditional Medicines, and Oncology.

Minimum Entry Requirements

QUALIFICATION	ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Master Degree by Research as of Programme Standards Medical and Health Science:	A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or A bachelor degree or equivalent with CGPA between 2.50 and 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field
Master’s Degree by Research as of Standards for Master’s and Doctoral Degree:	A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).
