YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. SA. Vigneswaran, the President of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), is a man with an illustrious career, having served as the President of the Malaysian Upper House (Dewan Negara) and the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to India and South Asia.
He has been involved in MIC youth activities and initiated several reforms within the party to create educational opportunities.
His major achievements include establishing the Malaysian Indian Youth Development Foundation and authoring the book “Redemption of Indian Dignity”.
Tan Sri Vigneswaran has also been active in various international humanitarian initiatives and was nominated for the prestigious award of Ambassador of Peace by the International World Peace Organisation.
He is currently the Chancellor of AIMST University and Chairman of AIMST University’s Board of Directors.
