Minimum Entry Requirements

FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES:  FOR INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES: 
  • Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or *equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0; OR
  • Pass Matriculation/ Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5; OR
  • UEC minimum grade B6 for five subjects OR
  • Pass any Diploma/Bachelor Degree with minimum CGPA 2.5 (Credit transfer allowed for BMS/BS) equivalent MQF Level 4 OR
  • Pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by MNB OR
  • Passed in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with Jayyid minimum 2.0 AND
  • Possess current PC/RON for nurses
  • Pass ‘A’ level minimum Grade C in three subjects with CGPA 2.5 OR
  • Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5; OR
  • Any academic qualification equivalent to Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or *equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0; OR
  • Pass Diploma in Nursing with minimum CGPA 2.5 and registered with the Nursing Council of the country AND
  • Possess current TPC for nurses from MNB before clinical placement AND
  • Attain proficiency in English language with any 1 of the following:

    • MUET minimum band 3.0
    • Pass in IELTS minimum score 5.5
(*EQUIVALENT – refers to the overseas academic qualification obtained that are equivalent to STPM as approved by MQA)

Health Status

  • All candidates MUST be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from commencement of the nursing programme.
  • Candidate with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as:
    • Serious physical or mental illness and / or
    • Serious Communicable Disease
    • Candidate MUST not have any physical disability and mental disorder or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.

All the requirements will keep in student file by the student admission and recruitment division.
