Programme Structure

The MSc (Pharmacy) program is designed to provide a comprehensive education in pharmaceutical sciences through a combination of coursework, research projects, and thesis writing. The curriculum includes the following components:

Basic Pharmacology Including Physiology 4
Basic Concepts in Pharmaceutics 3
Research Methodology, Statistics & Ethics * 2

Pharmacoeconomics in Pharmacy* 2

*Students with a pharmacy background are required to complete the specified courses prior to commencing the research work.

Non-pharmacy students are required to complete all the aforementioned courses prior to commencing the research work.

Minimum Entry Requirements

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: 
  1. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
  2. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
  3. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.
  4. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as stated in the programme requirements and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).

English proficiency requirements: Must obtain minimum band 4 in MUET before graduation (local applicant) Or TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS Grade 6 (international applicant).
