AIMST UNIVERSITY EXPANDS GLOBAL FOOTPRINT WITH IMAX HEALTHCARE PARTNERSHIP

AIMST University is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IMAX Healthcare Private Limited, India, on 20th June 2025. This landmark partnership aims to elevate academic distinction, foster international collaboration in healthcare and enrich the scholarly journey of both students and faculty.

This initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Leela Anthony from Faculty of Medicine and further cemented through a gracious courtesy visit by Prof. Dr. Kerron Reddy Meka, Chief Operating Officer and Academic Advisor of AIMST University.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. B.I Jaffrey, Chairman of IMAX Healthcare, and Dr. Prashanth Rajendran, Medical Director of IMAX Healthcare, Representing AIMST University were Prof. Chm. Dr. Kathiresan V. Sathasivam, Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Dr. Kerron Reddy Meka, COO & Academic Advisor.

The signing ceremony was also attended by senior representatives from AIMST’s Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Business & Management, and Faculty of Allied Health Professions, including their respective deans and deputy deans.

Key areas of collaboration under this MoU include:

  • Joint conferences and collaborative research initiatives
  • Global Immersion Programmes
  • Academic pathways for IMAX students to pursue MBBS and MBA at AIMST University
  • Internship opportunities at IMAX Healthcare for AIMST students
  • Staff exchange and development programmes

As part of their visit, the IMAX delegation had the distinct honour of meeting YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. SA. Vigneswaran, Chancellor of AIMST University. As a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, they presented him with a beautifully crafted memento symbolising the spirit of enduring partnership.

This collaboration represents a momentous step forward in AIMST University’s vision to cultivate meaningful international alliances, elevate academic and professional standards and contribute profoundly to eh advancement of global healthcare education and practice.
