Six ways to avoid Covid-19-associated black fungus
There is a prefatory siren with the emergence of Covid-19-associated Mucormycosis or CAM. Caused by Mucor, a ubiquitous organism present in the environment, Mucormycosis is popularly termed as “black fungus” which will cause infections ranging from loss of vision to death.
Being timely, Dr. Gokul Shankar, a Senior Associate Professor in Microbiology at AIMST University has come up with six precautions that should be taken to avoid the sickness through an article titled ‘Six ways to avoid Covid-19-associated black fungus’.
