Our 4th Year Biomedical Science student made waves at the 1st RUMC International Medical Research Conference (RIMRC 2024), held on 8th December 2024 at RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus. She presented the research work titled:
“Hypercholesterolemia Elevates Sperm Cytoarchitecture Abnormality: Durian Extract Ameliorates These Effects in Sprague Dawley Rats”
Authored by Dr. Anupam Biswas and Co-authored by Dr. Balasundaram Muthi Venkatachalam, the research explored the groundbreaking therapeutics potential of durian extract in combating reproductive abnormalities caused by hypercholesterolemia.
Among 48 participants, Lakshme’s remarkable presentation earned her 2nd place and cash award of RM 500!
