DROWNING, A SILENT KILLER OF OUR YOUNG

In commemoration of the World Drowning Prevention Day held annually on 25 July, Dr. Krishnan Rajam, Senior Professor at the Faculty of Medicine AIMST University, has contributed an article titled ‘Drowning, a silent killer of our young’. According to Dr. Krishnan Rajam, lack of both ‘official’ and public awareness of drowning risk assessment and management, compounded by lack of resources, pose major stumbling blocks to effective drowning prevention in Malaysia.
