INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DINE WITH IMMIGRATION OFFICERS & AIMST SENIOR MANAGEMENT. What happens when international students, immigration officers and the AIMST senior management team sit down for an Iftar dinner? A night full of great conversations, delicious food and unforgettable moments! 🍽️💬 Our international students had the unique opportunity to break- fast with officers from the Immigration Department, Alor Setar, alongside AIMST’s senior management. Between bites of biryani, dates and all the Ramadan must-haves, stories were exchanged, laughter filled the air and new friendships were formed. 🌍🤝 It wasn’t just about food—it was about connection. From discussing student experiences to gaining insights into visa processes (yes, some serious talk too! ), the evening was a perfect blend of warmth and learning. A huge thank you to our guests and students for making this Iftar a truly special one. Today marked the beginning of the 3rd International Conference on the Science and Applications of Generative, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning at AIMST University. Inaugurating the ceremony the Chief guest Prof. J. Philip Vincent, Adjunct Professor, Director/Founder of GSH Group of Companies, Penang, Malaysia, highlighted the challenges and opportunities within the AIML landscape, and emphasized the rise of Penang as the Silicon Hub of Malaysia and Asia. The expert dignitaries and the keynote speakers shared valuable insights about the challenges and transformations within academia brought on by Generative AI and Machine Learning. Discussions focused on the impact of disruptive technologies and the future of sustainable tech. The conference aims to reshape learning in the AIML field, fostering innovation and progress. Meet Nah Zhi Yi, our Year 4 BDS student, who proudly represented AIMST University at the prestigious AVEP 2024 Academic Visit & Exchange Program held at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. This incredible programme united participants and staff from five ASEAN countries—the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand—in a vibrant exchange of ideas, cultures and expertise. 🌟 Programme Highlights: 🎓 Faculty Tour Zhi Yi explored state-of-the-art facilities, including the Dental Clinics, Radiology Department, Human Body Museum, Vach Vidyavaddhana Museum, and the cutting-edge Simodont dental simulator. 📚 Lectures & Workshops ✨ The Smile Analysis Lecture - A deep dive into dental aesthetics principles and designing prosthetics to meet both practitioner and patient expectations. ✨ Aesthetic Crown Staining Workshop - A hands-on session mastering techniques to stain dental ceramic restorations with precision. Beyond academics, Zhi Yi embraced the chance to connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, exchange ideas and immerse in the richness of Thai culture. The programme was a transformative experience that enhanced her knowledge, practical skills and personal growth. “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent Malaysia in this programme.
