FREE WEBINAR BY FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSION – UNDERSTANDING SCOLIOSIS

Introduction

Posture, ergonomic, and daily routine of a person at home and workplace play an important role in causation of scoliosis besides other multiple causes. Patient’s understanding and committed participation in the basics of scoliosis are vital for the effective management of chronic spinal deformity. In this 3rd PCM webinar organized by AIMST University’s Faculty of Allied Health Profession (FAHP) to be conducted on Friday, 28th August 2020 (4pm-5pm), participants will be empowered with the science of scoliosis and the rationale behind its various management options. Everyone, especially those with scoliosis are welcomed to join. The webinar will be delivered in layman’s terms for better understanding among the public as to serve the webinar’s purpose. Highlights

INTERNATIONAL E-CONFERENCE ON BIOTECHNOLOGY, BIOINFORMATICS & BIOMEDICINE (IECBBB-2020)

Introduction

Welcome to the International E-Conference on Biotechnology, Bioinformatics & Biomedicine 2020 (IECBBB-2020). The conference is organized by the Faculty of Applied Sciences, AIMST University, Malaysia in collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), Madurai Kamaraj University (India), Dayananda Sagar University (India), Prince Songkla University (Thailand), University of Medical Technology, Yangon, (Myanmar), Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (Malaysia), Ahmednagar College (India), Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce (India) and Malaysia Biotechnology Students' Association (MYBIOSA). The conference will be held online (Zoom) from 24th- 26th August 2020. IECBBB-2020 intends to provide a platform for scientists, researchers, and students to exchange knowledge, challenges, recent advances and future perspectives in the multidisciplinary areas of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biomedicine.
IECBBB-2020 welcomes academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and industry players to present their papers in the conference and to share their experiences as well as to stimulate discussions on practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. Both international and local speakers in the forefront of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biomedicine will actively engage in this 3-day event. The theme of the conference is “Challenges and Opportunities in Biotechnology , Bioinformatics and Biomedicine in the Post-COVID Era”.

MoU – AIMST University(COMBio) between Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital

Congratulations to Centre of Excellence of Omics-Driven Computational Biodiscovery (COMBio), AIMST University for establishing collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital to work in the field of computational biodiscovery, namely in venomics.
The collaboration is mainly with Dr. Zoltan Szallasi, a Harvard Medical School Faculty member and faculty member of BCH's Computational Health Informatics Program (CHIP). How to Become a Physiotherapist in Malaysia?

For students who have completed their SPM and for students who have concluded their foundation in science — we say congratulations! It's time to move forward with your education and pursue a degree in a university. You may have undergone a foundation in science programme; hence you would be seeking to get a science-related degree, such as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Malaysia. However, before you get a degree and start practicing, you must study at a university either as full-time, part-time, or while working as an apprentice.
